We perform full dental radiographs on all of our prophylactic dental cleanings to help detect any problems lurking under the surface with the roots and bone.  We use the same handheld dental radiographic technology found in many human dental clinics to obtain the highest quality images.

 

Cleanings include ultrasonic scaling under the gumline, hand scaling and polishing for a full periodontal cleaning.

If extractions are necessary, they are performed surgically to properly expose the root, clean out the socket and close the socket afterwards with absorbable sutures. We perform post-extraction radiographs to ensure there are no retained roots.
